Grade Criteria
A- to A
90 – 100%
  • Scholarly Components. Excellent integration of terms and processes discussed in textbook, online course content sections, and peer-reviewed articles. Scholarly aspects are written at an excellent graduate level and include an impressive number of references to academic material.
  • Thoroughness. Addresses all components of the assignment instructions thoroughly.  
  • Thoughtful Reflection. Paper demonstrates the author spent quality time reflecting on the content and how it relates to his or her life.
  • Writing Quality. Paper flows through a process of highly logical development. Paper free from punctuation or grammatical errors.
  • APA Style. Paper cites sources using correct APA style. (N/A if instructions specifically note that the paper does not need to be in APA style).
B- to B
80 – 89%
  • Scholarly Components. Good integration of terms and processes discussed in textbook, online course content sections, and peer-reviewed articles. Scholarly aspects are written at the graduate level and include a strong number of references to academic material.
  • Thoroughness. Addresses all components of the assignment instructions.  
  • Thoughtful Reflection. Paper demonstrates the author spent time reflecting on the content and how it relates to his or her life.
  • Writing Quality. Paper flows through a process of logical development. Paper mostly free from punctuation or grammatical errors.
  • APA Style. Paper cites sources using correct APA style. There may be a few APA style errors. (N/A if instructions specifically note that the paper does not need to be in APA style).
C- to C
70 – 79%
  • Scholarly Components. Paper does not integrate well the information from the textbook, online course content sections, and peer-reviewed articles. Scholarly aspects are written at an undergraduate level, and include too few references to academic material.
  • Thoroughness. Some components of the assignment instructions may be missing.  
  • Thoughtful Reflection. Paper weakly demonstrates that the author spent time reflecting on the content and how it relates to his or her life.
  • Writing Quality. Paper does not flow well through a process of logical development. Paper contains punctuation or grammatical errors.
  • APA Style. Paper cites sources using incorrect APA style. (N/A if instructions specifically note that the paper does not need to be in APA style).
D or F
0 – 69%
  • Paper fails to address the assignment, is inadequate, is not acceptable as college-level work, or was not submitted
